Police called for vandalism, theft
Staff Report
The Chowchilla Police Department responded to numerous self-initiated calls and calls for service from Thursday, Jan. 20 through Wednesday, Jan. 25. The following calls were taken from the police activity log.
Friday, Jan. 20
Paul Jones, 40, was arrested on suspicion of resisting/obstructing a peace officer. He was booked into the Madera County Jail.
A double-edged knife/dagger was found in the 400 block of Colusa Avenue. A found property report was taken.
A woman told police she believed she was being followed by a male subject. An incident report was taken.
Vandalism was reported in the 300 block of Trinity Avenue. Someone broke the front window of a building. A vandalism report was taken.
Timothy John Barker, 34, was arrested in a domestic violence case. He was transported to the Madera County Jail.
Saturday, Jan. 21
Fuses were stolen from the PG&E electrical box in the 200 block of Colusa Avenue. A petty theft report was taken.
A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Alamada Avenue. A Nintendo Wii was stolen from the living room of that residence. A report was taken.
Sunday, Jan. 22
A California Highway patrol officer called for assistance. Chowchilla responded to State Route 99 and Avenue 24 to assist.
