Memorial Day Service at National Cemetery

Memorial Day services will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Sunday, May 30, beginning at 11 a.m. This year's theme honors the Buffalo Soldiers. the guest speaker will be Retired Major General Paul Monroe, the Former Adjutant General of the California National Guard.

Representatives of the Buffalo Soldiers out of Los Banos, will present the Colors representing all Branches of Service and the California National Guard will provide the Three Riffle Volley and Playing of Taps.

The Fresno Stag and Thistle Band will provide several musical selections. Marsha Borreli-Silva and others will perform patriotic vocal selections. Joe Cox of the WWII Submarines will be the Master of ceremonies for the program.

Several representatives from the military and elected officials will attend. The program is expected to last one hour.
