Gang enforcement team nabs 13 gang members in sweep

Agents with the Madera County Gang Enforcement Team (MADGET) completed a sweep in and around the city of Madera on Tuesday, May 18, apprehending more than a dozen people wanted for a variety of charges including: narcotics, parole, probation and weapons violations.
The sweep started May 13 with the arrest of two parolees at large. They included 31-year old Joey Martinez and 30-year old Natalie Wright.
Five days ago, the Gang Enforcement Team received a tip where they could find Martinez,a parolee at large. They spotted him driving near Tulare and Cleveland. Knowing he was wanted, Martinez sped off. The pursuit ended on Old Raymond Road where Martinez jumped from the vehicle and tried to flee by wading through a river. He made it as far as a tire shop on Highway 145.
Also in the vehicle, Natalie Wright, also on Parole. When she jumped out agents say she was armed with a loaded gun. She was taken into custody without incident.
A search through their vehicle revealed another loaded weapon. Both parolees remain behind bars facing parole violation and weapons charges.
Those two arrests led to a search of a home where Martinez lived. Agents seized evidence indicating that Martinez was also counterfeiting money.
For the next several days, nine more people would be tracked down and arrested. They include: 48-year old Anthony Rodriguez,
26-year old David Rojas, 30-year old Vidal Gonzalez, 29-year old Salvador Lopez, 20-year old Jonathan Price, 19-year old Jonathan Munoz, 44-year old Luis Ramirez, 34-year old Carlos Sostre, 27-year old David Godinez.
Through the course of their sweep, agents took two more men into custody when they discovered an indoor grow where the drying process of processed marijuana had begin in a dwelling off Sharon Blvd. Those two suspects now facing drug charges. They are 19-year old Ryan Menasco and 19-year old Dillon Winter.
Anthony Rodriguez, a gang associate, is- being held with out bail, parolee.
David Rojas a gang associate is being held without bail, parolee.
Vidal Gonzalez a gang member, parole hold dropped released last Wednesday.
Salvador Lopez a gang member is being held without bail, parolee.
Jonathan Price a gang member is being held without bail, parolee.
Jonathan Munoz arrested for a probation violation is being held without bail.
Luis Ramirez was arrested on as a Registered Sex offender is being held without bail, convicted of the following offenses as published on Megan's Law Public Records site:
220/261(2) assault w/intent to commit rape by forcefear.
261(4) rape: victim unconscious of the nature of the act.
Carlos Sostre, Gang Drop out, returned to prison, parolee
David Godinez, Gang Drop out, being held without bail, parolee
