Bulldogs end week in tie with Denair

Team beat Grizzlies earlier in the week.

The Bulldogs of Le Grand are keeping a winning record on the league season with seven wins, one loss and four ties.

This past week the Lady 'Dogs tied against Denair, 1-1 on April 30.

Bulldog Nancy Medina made the one and only unassisted goal for Le Grand in the first quarter.

In the goalie position, Elizabeth Lopez had four saves. The Lady Bulldogs had 19 shots against Denair that were blocked.

On April 28, the Bulldogs traveled to play against Mariposa and came home with a 4-1 victory.

Le Grand's Ivana Barajas made three goals and Marissa Marchini contributed one goal. Bulldogs Barajas, Medina, Griselda Garcia and Bertha Granados each pitched in with one assist.

Goalie Lopez had six saves for Le Grand.

The Mariposa Grizzlies stopped 10 attempts on the goal during the game.

"Coming into this game,w e were tied for first with Mariposa," said Le Grand Head Coach Frank Ferreira. "The entire team focused and play driven even in adverse weather conditions."
