The Chowchilla Senior Center will present Prize Bingo Night this Friday beginning at 6 p.m.</p><p>A donation of $20 will include one book. Food and drink booths will be available. Proceeds from the event will go toward senior citizen activities.</p><p>The Chowchilla Senior Center is located at 820 Robertson Boulevard. Doors open at 5 p.m.</p><p>For more information call the Senior Center at 665-4781.</p><p>Portuguese celebration begins</p><p>Sociedade Flor Acoriana of Chowchilla (S.F.A.) will celebrate it's 83rd annual festival on Saturday and Sunday at the S.F.A. Hall located at 800 South Third Street.</p><p>A Rosary was recited on Monday and Tuesday at the chapel. A Rosary will also be recited tonight, through Friday at 7:30 p.m. each evening.</p><p>On Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. decorated floats and oxen carts will parade to Fifth Street and back to the hall where the animals are blessed.</p><p>Sweetbread, milk and cheese will be served, then lunch.</p><p>At 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds parking lot, there will be an auction of donated cattle. The evening will include music by Alcides Machado, D;J. He will play both nights of the festival.</p><p>On Sunday, the parade of queens representing towns from throughout California will begin at 9 a.m., accompanied by the Tulare Philharmonic Band and the Lira Acoriana Band of Stevinson.</p><p>Mass at St. Columba Catholic Church will be held at 10 a.m. Father Angel Sotelo, accompanied by the Choir of Hilmar will celebrate mass.</p><p>Following mass, the parade will return to the hall for the traditional "Sopas," which is served to all who attend.</p><p>During the afternoon there will be an indoor auction of donated items. Another meal will be served in the evening to all those who attend. A dance will follow at 9 p.m.
