Last March, students at Wilson Middle School participated in the Doodle for Google competition. The theme for this year's competition was "If I could do anything, I would . . ."

Each school was allowed to enter six logos. Entries were chosen based on artistic creativity and their vision of what they would do in the world if they could do anything. Google has a group of "expert jurors" which is comprised of well-known illustrators, cartoonists, and animators from organizations like The Sesame Street Workshop, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates and Peanuts, and Pixar Animation Studios.

The panel of jurors will help Google select 40 finalists who will attend an awards ceremony. The doodles chosen by Google will appear on the Google homepage as its logo. Finalists will be announced in May and the winning doodle will be featured on the google.com homepage on May 27.

Students participating included Johnny Trujillo, Brandon Gomez, Laila Sabbah, Miranda Morales, Johnathan Munoz, Emily Creamer, Armando Flores, Lashea Martinez and Emily Navarro.
