Esther Moore of Raymond named 'Cowbelle of the Year'
Madera County Cattlewomen bestow honor.
The Madera County Cattlewomen named Esther Moore of Raymond as the Cowbelle of the Year.
Moore has been involved in agriculture most of her life and continues to run a cow/calf cattle operation outside of Raymond. She represents the western traditions that the Madera County Cattlewomen try to embrace and pass on to others; always lending a helping hand, treating livestock and the land with respect and care, and promoting beef and agriculture throughout California. Moore embodies all that cattlewomen hold dear and wishes to pass on to future generations.
Moore was raised in Elk Grove and moved to Madera County in the late 1980's. Her parents, Guy and Edith Olfin, her children, Paul and Rebecca and her sisters, Ellen and Gwen are all proud of her for being recognized as Cowbelle of the Year.
Moore raised Angus cattle while in 4-H in high school. She worked on ranches while in school. Moore has been a member of the Madera County Cattlewomen since the early 1990's. She represents the beef industry with pride and hard work. Having been an officer several times for the Cattlewomen and working at the feeder sales, luncheons and beef promotion events, Moore has contributed to ranching and the beef industry.
Moore feels fortunate to live in an area where everyone helps everyone and loves being able to be outside doing what she enjoys. Driving through Bailey Flat on any given day, she can be seen feeding and checking her cattle or helping a neighbor with fences or gathering a stray calf. Moore is a true cattlewoman and Madera County Cattlewomen are proud to bestow their highest honor on Esther Moore.
