The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Denair on Monday, Feb. 8, and came home with a 46-39 victory.</p><p>It was a tie ending first quarter, 14-14, for the Le Grand Union High School Bulldogs.</p><p>Defense for the Lady 'Dogs came out during the second quarter, holding the Denair Coyotes to seven points. Bulldog offense scored 11 points to end the second quarter ahead 25-21.</p><p>The Lady Bulldogs were outscored in the third quarter by four points, 14-10.</p><p>The Bulldogs took a big bite out of the Hawks in the fourth quarter to hold them back to only four points. The offense contributed 11 points to finish the game with the 46-39 victory.</p><p>Bulldog Miranda Flores topped the game with 16 points with one three-pointer. Flores also had four assists, two rebounds and one steal.</p><p>'Dog Veronica Moreno came out with 15 points with four three-pointers, three assists, seven rebounds and two steals. Monica Manzo contributed 11 points with three three-pointers and two rebounds. Bulldog Cindy Wilson chipped in with four points, two assists, nine rebounds and four steals. Sonya Manzo had one assist, one rebounds and one steal. Maggie Mujica had two rebounds with one steal. Bertha Granados had three rebounds and Britney Sapien chipped in with two rebounds.</p><p>The week ended with another win for the Lady 'Dogs. They hosted the Waterford Wildcats and send them home with a 31-23 loss.</p><p>Waterford outscored the Bulldogs in the first quarter 5-4.</p><p>The 'Dogs came back stronger in the second quarter, scoring 11 points over the Wildcats five.</p><p>Coming back into the third and fourth quarter, the 'Dogs scored eight points in each quarter, holding back the Wildcats to seven points in the third quarter and six in the final quarter.</p><p>Bulldog Flores topped off the score board with 12 points, including three three-pointers, two rebounds,four assists and two steals. Team mate Wilson followed with eight points, 10 rebounds and one steal.. Lady 'Dog Moreno contributed seven points with one three-pointer, six rebounds, two steals and two assists. Bertha Granados chipped in with four points, three rebounds, two blocks and one assist. Mujica had one steal and Britney Sapien contributed four rebounds.</p><p>The Lady Bulldogs will end their league play at Delhi High School on Thursday, Feb. 18. Varsity will play at 7:30 p.m. after JV at 6 p.m.
