Week ends with a Lady Redskin win
Team defeats Liberty High School Feb. 5.

The Lady Redskins of Chowchilla Union High School came home with a victory against the Hawks last Friday night.
The 'Skins traveled to Madera Ranchos to play against the Liberty High School Hawks and came home adding a win to their league record, 42-27.
Lady 'Skins Steffanie Deathridge topped the score board with 14 points, three defensive rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one turnover. Mackenzie Mangrum contributed seven points, three defensive rebounds, two offensive rebounds, three steals, one assist and one turnover. Deanna Ribeiro also had seven points, two offensive rebounds, four steals and one turnover.
Magaly Herrera had six points, one defensive and one offensive rebound and went six of eight from the line. Catrina Gaither constributed four points, three defense rebounds, seven offense rebounds, two steals and one assist. Corey Bruecker pitched in with two points, one defense rebounds, five offense rebounds and three turnovers. Savanna Linhares closed out with two points and one defensive rebound.
Earlier in the week, the Lady 'Skins lost to Sierra on home court, 33-24.
The Sierra Chieftains held Chowchilla to only eight points in the first quarter and gained 12.
The Lady Redskin defense held the Chieftains to four points in the second quarter.
Unfortunately the only point scored for the Redskins came from Catrina Gaither on the free throw line. The first half ended with the Redskins nine, Chieftains 16.
Coming back from halftime, the 'Skins added six points to the board and allowed Sierra eight.
The final quarter was back and forth for both teams. Each team added nine points to the board, ending with the Chieftains taking the victory, 33-24.
Lady Redskin Cami Roso topped off with nine points. Deathridge tallied up seven points. Gaither and Ribeiro each added three points and Mangrum chipped in two.
