• Lions Club Blood Drive

Blood drive held at the Little Theater, Chowchilla Fairgrounds from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Donors must be in good health, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be at least 17 years of age. All donors will also receive a free BBQ dinner courtesy of the Lions Club. A Social Security card is required for registration. Call 559-665-7055 for information.

• Little League Evening Registration

Registration held at the Community Sports Center/Gym, 1201 W. Robertson Blvd. from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

For ages 7-14 as of May 1, 2010. You must bring 3 proofs of residence within the Chowchilla Little League District (any mail with current residential address - No P.O. Box accepted) and a State issued birth certificate. Registration fee is $50 for one child and $25.00 for any additional children in family. Registration deadline is Saturday, Feb. 6. Try-outs will be held at the RC Wisener Park Little League Field on the following dates: Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. and Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. Junior League try-outs will be announced at a later date. Feed will be held at the Eastman Hall, Chowchilla Fairgrounds, 1000 S. Third Street, starting at a6 p.m.

Meeting will be held at the Civic Center Public Training Room, 130 S. Second St. starting at 12 p.m.

• Chowchilla Chamber of Commerce Valentine Wine Express

Event will be held at the Madera County Wineries from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Chowchilla District Chamber of Commerce. Deluxe motor coach ride to Madera County wineries - Discounts at local hotels and restaurants - Treats on the bus and special passenger raffle - Madera Wine Trail 'Wine & Chocolate Festival' activities. • Sober Grad Sweetheart Dinner & Dance

Dinner and dance will be held at Cornerstone Community Church, 208 Fig Tree Road starting at 6 p.m.

• Chowchilla Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

The breakfast will be held at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds Little Theater from 7 a.m. - 11 am.

The All-You-Can-Eat Pancake breakfast cost is $3 which includes, all-you-can-eat pancakes plus drink. Proceeeds from the breakfast goes towards community projects to benefit Chowchilla, such as youth sports, scholarships, parks, etc.

• Chowchilla Athletic Foundation's Hall of Fame Dinner

Dinner will be held at the Portuguese Hall, 3rd Street starting at 6 p.m.

• Chowchilla Area Waste Tire Amnesty Day

Tire Amnesty Day offers Chowchilla residents a no-cost opportunity to dispose of old tires. Up to nine tires without rims will be accepted. No tractor, diesel, or larger tires will be accepted.

Reservations MUST be made in advance by calling Madera County Code Enforcement at 559-675-7821.
