Tire Amnesty Day planned for county this month
Event will take place on Feb. 27.

The Chowchilla Area Waste Tire Amnesty event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Tire amnesty days offer residents a time, place and a no-cost opportunity to dispose of any tires collected around the household. This event also allows the city and county to receive and haul away to recycling centers old tires turned in at these events and provide neighborhoods with educational information on the benefits of proper tire handling.
Those participating must make reservations and no out-of-county tires are permitted. Proof of residency is required.
There is a limit of nine tires without or with rims will be accepted.
No tractor/diesel tires or larger will be accepted.

The Tire Amnesty event is funded by the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
