Madera County Sheriff's Detectives are investigating an early morning robbery in Chowchilla.
According to the department's Public Information Officer, Erica Stuart, it is believed that at least three suspects were involved in the robbery.
The suspects, all wearing ski masks, stole an untold amount of cash and then fled the scene.
One of the men was around five feet, five inches tall, stocky build, weighing approximately 190 to 200 pounds. the suspect wore a dark colored long sleeved shirt, black sweatpants and what appeared to be weightlifting gloves.
The victim, who was asleep in bed at the time of the break-in, was not hurt.
Based on information gathered by deputies, detectives do NOT believe this was a random crime.
The three suspects took off in a vehicle that sounded like it had a broken muffler.
Anyone who may have information about the robbery is urged to call the Madera County Sheriff's Department at 675-7770 or CRIME STOPPERS at 498-STOP. An anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers could be worth up to a $1,000.
