The 56th annual Chowchilla Western Stampede Cattle Drive made it way down Robertson Boulevard Friday morning, kicking-off three days of roping events. Leading this year's cattle drive was Shane Barnes, in the middle. Barnes is the 2013 Stampede Committee chairman. Stampede committee members got a little help from local cowboys and cowgirls herding the steers to the fairgrounds. Participants roped in several events for top money and prizes. This year's weather was perfect for all three days. The 2013 Chowchilla Western Stampede Grand Marshall is Anderson Pump.
